100 Word Challenge (September Retrospect)

Sometimes, it’s just not your month…

It’s amazing what direction life will take you in. Fresh off of a stellar month in August with my 100 words a day daily challenge, you would think that I’d be a shoo-in for accomplishing a ‘two-peat’ and continuing through the month of September hitting every single day of the month.

But that wasn’t the case.

As hard of a time I spend trying to figure it out, it doesn’t make things any easier. It just further reinforces my whole notion of life just happening sometimes. At the beginning of the month, I put off my regular schedule in order to prepare for my vacation, thinking that I would get back around to it. I still wrote my blog posts (notice that I still haven’t missed a day on here) on time but just didn’t take that same initiative to backlog my daily 100 word entries.

Coming back from the Caribbean completely refreshed, I should have then played catch up and got back into it. But I didn’t. Back to reality, so that meant spending the next week getting back into the swing of thingsĀ at work and pulling my head from the clouds to perform my responsibilities. By the time I really started to think about it, it was the end of the month and I saw no purpose.

But I’m back at it for October! There are peaks, valleys, and somewhere in between in life. I’m not afraid to showcase my losses on here. Here’s to displaying a completely marked off calendar by the end of the month.

Until next time.
